Glide 60 wt Thread
Glide 60 wt is a fine polyester thread for detailed quilting, dense designs, appliqué and subtle stitch definition. Unlike Glide 40 wt, it does not have the characteristic trilobal sheen, so the finished quilting has a softer, more understated appearance.
Choose Glide 60 wt when you want the texture of the quilting to blend gently into the quilt rather than become a prominent visual feature.
Lori's Pro Tip
For the most balanced fine-thread system, pair Glide 60 wt on top with Magna-Glide Classic 60 wt pre-wound bobbins. Glide 40 wt on top with a 60 wt bobbin is also an excellent combination when you want less bulk underneath.
Recommended needle: Size 80/12 for fine quilting and appliqué, or 90/14 for longarm quilting and heavier fabrics.
