About Lori
I am a passionate Canadian quilter with over 20 years hands-on experience and a proud quilt shop owner in Kanata North, Ottawa. In 2024, I took over the premium Glide King Spool thread line from 3 Dogs Quilting, continuing to support Canadian longarmers, domestic quilters, and embroiderers.
I’m also excited to be working with Cansew as they prepare to relaunch Picasso in Canada.
In addition to Glide thread, and Cansew's Picasso, Lori’s Quilting Shop now carries Canadian-made Silly Moon quilting rulers — precision-machined tools designed to help quilters stitch smooth curves, flowing motifs, and creative quilting designs with confidence.
I’m an active member of the Canadian Quilters Guild, the Kanata Quilt Guild, the Kemptville Quilters Guild, and the Ottawa Modern Quilt Guild, and I’ve volunteered with the Almonte Quilters Guild for several years. Guild participation keeps me connected to new ideas, community events, and the joy of quilting together.
My passion is creating keepsake quilts and finishing them with thoughtful, custom quilting. I work on my domestic Bernina and my hand-guided longarm, with access to a computerized longarm when a digital design is the best fit. Every quilt is stitched with care, intention, and genuine love for the craft.
