Glide Mercury is a soft blue-steel thread that can read grey in neutral fabrics and gently blue beside true greys. This useful bridge colour blends across blue-grey palettes, modern low-volume quilts, subtle sky tones and fabrics where neither a straightforward grey nor a clear blue feels quite right.

Lori's Recommendation

Mercury is one of my most useful grey-blue bridge colours. I recommend auditioning it when Baby Blue feels too blue or Smoke begins to look too neutral or taupe. Compare it with Light Grey for a cleaner grey, Brittany Blue for a softer powder blue and Cloud for a deeper blue-grey. Mercury is often the first cone I pull when a quilt shifts repeatedly between pale blue and grey.
