Glide Cool Grey 3 is a clean light-medium grey with a slight blue cast. It is one of the most popular colours in the entire Glide Thread collection because it blends beautifully across modern neutrals, silver prints, cool low-volume fabrics and many multicolour quilts without disappearing completely.

Lori's Recommendation

Cool Grey 3 is one of the first colours I recommend to new Glide users. It is an exceptionally dependable cool neutral and often works when choosing a separate thread for every fabric would be impractical. I recommend auditioning Light Grey for a softer result, Smoke or Fog for more definition, and Bone when the quilt may need a warmer grey-beige instead. Cool Grey 3 is especially useful for modern quilts, cool neutrals and general edge-to-edge quilting.
