Glide 40 wt trilobal polyester quilting thread in 17545 Starlight is a cool colour with smoky dark blue-grey undertones. A smoky dark blue-grey between Slate and the near-black neutrals. It is especially useful for dark blue-grey backgrounds and masculine palettes. Starlight fills the gap between Slate and the near-black neutrals. I use it when I want depth without the quilting becoming dominant on dark blue-grey fabrics. Compare it with Slate for more blue, Shadow when the quilt is moving toward near-black, or Black for the strongest dark neutral. It is one of my go-to colours.
