Shadow is one of my favourite alternatives to Black. I reach for it whenever Black feels too harsh but I still want crisp quilting definition. It preserves texture on dark fabrics without creating the stark contrast that true black can. Included in: Workhorse 1 — Everyday Neutral and Starter — Warm & Cool Neutral. Before choosing Black, I almost always audition Shadow. It gives beautiful definition on dark fabrics without the stronger contrast that Black can create.
