Organ HLx5 machine quilting needles are strong, rigid flat-shank needles designed for high-speed quilting and heavy sewing applications on domestic machines and certain quilting machines.
The HLx5 needle is based on an industrial needle design but adapted with a flat shank for household machines, providing greater rigidity and reduced needle deflection compared with standard 130/705H (15x1) needles.
This makes HLx5 needles especially useful for:
• machine quilting
• ruler quilting
• quilting on a frame
• sewing multiple fabric layers
• dense quilting designs
The stronger shaft helps reduce needle flex, which can lead to fewer skipped stitches and smoother stitch formation when quilting through thicker quilts.

Why Quilters Use HLx5 Needles

If you are bending or breaking standard 15x1 needles while quilting, the HLx5 needle may provide better performance.
